Since the artisit Siglinde Kallnbach was diagnosed with cancer for the first time in 2000, she started to adress the desease and its impact on her work, creating exhibitions and performances. With her interactive project "a performancelife"(since 2001) that serves to express empathy with cancer patients, Kallnbach creates options to release creative energy so as to convey its transformative power for the benefit of patients, their relatives and the medical staff. Expressions are poems, drawings. photos, stories ... The easiest way is a signature. Up to now (2008) more than 30 000 people have participated.
